After retraining on Hurricane during July and August 1940 he came to No. 85 Squadron on 14th October. After eight days, on 20th October, he was transfered to No. 310 Czechoslovak Squadron where he stayed for two years.

On 31st August 1941 he was slightly wounded during orientation training flight over Scotland. His Hurricane IIA Z2505 caught fire during flight over Loch Oich Lake and he bale out.

From 14th February to 15th November 1942 he was the leader of flight "B" of No. 310 Squadron. In November 1942 he left No. 310 Squadron and operational duty for three months.

On 15th January 1943 he returned back to operational duty and he became the leader of the whole No. 310 Squadron. I this function he stayed till 13th January 1944 when he definetely left operational duty.

From the begin of 1944 till the end of war he served as Staff Officer.

In 1948 when the Communist took over in CSR he emigrated to England and he entered the RAF again.

He died in England on 18th June 1976.
