After retraining at No. 6 O.T.U. at Sutton Bridge he came on 10th September 1940
to No. 601 Squadron. After month he was transfered to No. 238 Squadron and
on 28th April 1941 he moved to No. 32 Squadron.
After that operational service he became instructor and from 13th September 1941 he served at No. 56 O.T.U. On 6th August 1942 he returned to operational duty and he came to No. 313 Czechoslovak Fighter Squadron . There he stayed till 22nd June 1943, when he went for a rest and then he served as officer at Czechoslovak Inspectorate General (CIG) in London. On 1st May 1944 he returned back to No. 313 Squadron in the rank of F/Lt but he was there only for twenty days because on 22nd May 1944 he became the leader of flight "B" of No. 310 Czechoslovak Fighter Squadron. In this function he stayed till the end of war. In 1948 when the Communist took over in CSR he emigrated to England and he entered the RAF again. In 1964 he left the RAF in the rank of F/Lt and later he moved to New Zealand when he died on 17th June 1980. |
